As a real estate photographer in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Smoky Mountains region of East Tennessee I have photographed many many properties over the years, most of which are cabins. Photographing cabins is truly one of my favorite things to do as a professional.  It's kind of like going on vacation for a couple of hours. I get to soak in the peace and serenity of my surroundings, often with spectacular mountain views, while doing the work I love--taking gorgeous pictures.

I've decided to write a blog showcasing some of my very favorite properties that I've photographed in the last year.  Sometimes my job affords me the opportunity to stay overnight in a cabin to capture stunning sunset and sunrise views that a property has to offer it's potential guests!   If you are considering having new photo's made of a property you own, and your property has magnificent views, I highly suggest allowing a professional to photograph the property over a 12-16 hour period to show off the views at various times of day.

The first property I want to showcase actually has personal meaning to me. It's a 7 bedroom  7.5 bath"all king en suite" newly built in 2017 cabin called "Splash Manor".  My family and I stayed in this cabin over a 3 day period during my wedding weekend. I can personally vouch that this cabin is luxury from top to bottom and even has an indoor pool!   It's very central to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg and the views are just incredible. My family of 13 was more than comfortable in this beautiful cabin for 3 days and everyone wished they could stay longer.  Plenty of room to spread out over the 4 floors of living space.  The bedrooms are very roomy and each has it's own en suite bathroom.    Check out the photo's below, a few I included from our wedding weekend :)  The attached video is of my niece, Julia, playing the bagpipes with the Smokies in the background on the deck of Splash Manor.

Absolutely Viewtiful

Next on my list of favorite cabins in the Smokies is a 4 bedroom cabin called "Absolutely Viewtiful" situated up high in the easy to access "Hidden Springs Resort" just a short drive from Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg.  This well appointed cabin has the finest furnishings and has been beautifully maintained.  The name says it all, the VIEWTIFUL view is glorious, especially at sunset!  Check it out in the photo's below.

High Point Vista

From the moment I pulled up to "High Point Vista" I was taken by the beauty of this 4 bedroom cabin located in the gated "Shagbark" community on the outskirts of Sevierville.  This property has so many beautiful and unique decorative touches from top to bottom.  The hand carved wild stallion fireplace mantle adds a touch of rustic elegance to the large great room which features floor to ceiling windows with incredible views of the Smokies.  Just outside on the large extended deck is plenty of comfortable seating for outdoor dining and relaxing.  Upstairs is the luxurious master suite with gorgeous furnishings, a fireplace and an en suite bathroom which features an AMAZING river rock jetted tub.  Up one more floor is a loft bedroom with another jetted tub.  Down below on the lowest level is the AWESOME game room, bar, and movie theater room.  Decorated in the style of a ski lodge, you will TRULY feel like you've gotten away to the mountains.  Outside on the lower deck is a roomy and powerful hot tub overlooking the mountains and another seating area featuring custom snowboard tables to enjoy drinks and snacks while visiting with your loved ones.  High Point Vista is still on my "bucket list" of properties I would like to bring my own family to for a Smoky Mountain Getaway!

A Time to Remember

The lovely 2 bedroom cabin "A Time to Remember" is very centrally located in the Hidden Springs Resort just outside of Pigeon Forge very close to Dollywood. This is the perfect cabin for several couples or a small family to get away to the Smoky Mountains in.  The warm, inviting, luxuriously furnished great room and bedrooms, each with it's own fireplace immediately drew me into this cozy getaway.  The master suite has a roomy jetted tub and opens up onto the deck where the steaming hot tub awaits you. My favorite thing about this property is the all in one feel of the great room. You can play pool, watch a movie, and cook a meal all within the same large space, yet not feel cramped or crowded.  The resort pool complex is just a short walk away if you need to cool off.  Check out the photo's below!

A Smoky Mountain Hide-A-Way

A Smoky Mountain Hide-A-Way is one of my favorite rental cabins because of it's convenient location to town in the Starr Crest Resort.  Located  just above Dollywood, it's incredible views at sunset and the large loft master suite that looks out over the Smokies with the floor to ceiling windows and last but not least the beautiful jetted tub with doors that open to the mountain views beyond.  A perfect honeymoon or small family cabin getaway!  While I was photographing this cabin I was enamored by the Dollywood Train Whistle that can be heard sporadically throughout the day.  My husband LOVES trains and I just happened to take a video (see below the photos)  of it to show him!  You will love this cabin, it's comfortable furnishings, it's view and it's location!

Royal Majestic

Last, but certainly not least on my list of favorite cabins in the Smokies is "Royal Majestic", a 6 bedroom, brand new built cabin sitting high above Pigeon Forge.  The views from this cabin from the decks are amazing as the the views on the way out!  I've personally pulled my vehicle over at a pull off in the development just to soak in majestic vistas.  Royal Majestic is not just a name for this cabin.  It is truly one of the most well appointed properties I've photographed.  Upstairs via a fun spiral staircase is a loft bedroom en suite. The main floor great room is large enough for everyone to spread out or head out onto the deck outside to enjoy the view.  Downstairs is 4 more bedrooms, and a game room / theater room combined.  I will let the photo's do the talking on this one!

All of these cabins can be rented through Timber Tops Luxury Cabin Rentals. Whether you are a couple or small family looking for a beautiful getaway together or a large family celebrating a special milestone,  the folks at Timber Tops will treat you well and will make sure your stay is one you will cherish for a lifetime!
