Jessica and Michael contacted me several months back to photograph their intimate cabin wedding on the lake.  They decided that having great photos to remember this special day in their lives was the most important to them and decided to book a separate bridal photo session the day before the wedding.  I met them at the Emerts Cove Covered Bridge just outside of Gatlinburg.     The original plan was to have gorgeous shots with the mountains beyond, but sometimes even the best laid plans fail.  We were greeted with a thick fog that did not appear to be clearing up anytime soon and the moment the sun decided to come out the light was not conducive to perfect light portraits with the mountain views.  The atmosphere lent to some dreamy and cinematic wedding portraits.

On Sunday I met the couple and their family at a gorgeous lakeside cabin for the ceremony on the pavilion overlooking Douglas Lake and the Smoky Mountains. We had time for some "getting ready shots" before the beautiful bride met her groom to say their vows.   Reverend Tom Orange of Sevier County Weddings conducted the beautiful and heartfelt ceremony. I had felt like Jessica was a bit of a kindred spirit after spending time photographing the formal shots the day before and after I heard their written vows I knew she was was my kind of people! :)

Congratulations again to the couple and thank you so very much for letting Rich Blessings Photography capture your wedding day!
